Below you will find the current payment and refund policies of Florida Songwriters Association, LLC, hereafter known as FLSW. Please read them carefully before accepting to become a member. These are the current policies at this time and must be adhered to. No exceptions will be made unless otherwise noted in writing by the executive team of FLSW.
Payments can only be made by way of two methods at this time:
1) Money Order or Bank Check
In order to use PayPal for payments, you must create an account with PayPal. PayPal allows you to make payments from a checking account, credit card, or by transferring funds to your PayPal account and using those funds. Once your account with PayPal is created, simply follow the directions on our “Join Us” page to complete the transaction for becoming a member.
PayPal is our preferred method of payment, but we understand that some people have reservations for using PayPal. With this in mind, we offer an alternative method of payment by sending a bank check or money order, payable to Florida Songwriters Association, LLC, with a written notice of your complete name, address, phone number, and desired level of membership, to the following address:
Florida Songwriters Association
200 South Harbor City Blvd.
Melbourne, FL 32901
WHEN USING THIS METHOD OF PAYMENT, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THE PAYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED OUR ACCEPTANCE EMAIL TO YOUR MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION.
PLEASE NOTE – NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED! IF RECEIVED, WE WILL DISPOSE OF THEM IMMEDIATELY. THIS SERVES AS YOUR ONLY NOTIFICATION THAT WE WILL DO SO.
MEMBERSHIP LEVEL UPGRADES
If after you join as a gold or platinum member, you decide you would like to upgrade to another level, then FLSW will prorate the upgrade fee based on a 12-month scale. We allow you to upgrade, but downgrading in membership levels are not permitted.
Since FLSW offers a non-tangible service and not a product, we are not offering refunds based on a members interpretation of quality of service. FLSW is an organization that was created to provide a service by music industry professionals. Because these services are subjective, we have no way of guaranteeing your opinions of the quality of these services.
However, if we fail to deliver on the stated benefits of the individual membership levels (and only the defined benefits of each level, not including the general benefits to all levels, defined as the Annual Songwriters Competition, the Annual Songwriters Conference, podcasts, and any other item(s) as defined in this area), within the time frame specified, then FLSW will review these on a case-by-case basis and make an appropriate determination for the approval of the refund and the amount to be refunded. FLSW reserves the right to give written notice, via email or postal letter, to the member, regarding a delay in the individual services, as specified in each membership level’s benefits.
